Life carries risks especially if you are Black. The weight of making decisions determines the quality of your life, unfortunately in many areas. Everything is life or death. Black LGBTQ Disabled are signically impacted by the disownment from families, depression, rejected job opportunities, inaccessibility to resources, unemployment, homes, and more. Their livelihood is at stake everyday. Treatment towards the intersex folx are inhumane period. We demand to know the “gender” of intersex/Non-Binary/Transfolx and ask them “what are your genitals?” Binarism is one of the masters’ oldest tools for slowly destroying the livelihood of LGBTQ folks. Living in social constructions, the Black Deaf LGBTQ truly have defined themselves in a way they want to be known and acknowledged. The WHOA factor is not about being marveled. It is for folks to be put back in their place when it comes to homoantagonism, audism, transmisogynoir, fat-antagonism, ablesism, femme-antagonism and many more. It is also a celebratory response to defying the norms. It is a moment of YES GO ON & DO THE DAMN THANG MA’AMMMM!!!
