Admiration

Abstract

Women should not be hesitant, shamed to embrace, and love their sexuality. Based on my experience with showing art pieces of nude females, some people, especially with males would find themselves to be uncomfortable to be observed that they are enjoying the piece. I have observed that they would check out the piece within 2 minutes without studying the details and walk away from it. By adding the rose on the vagina, it can't be overlooked. You would need to take the time to observe the form, shape and its meaning. The rose was made to appreciate, therefore it goes back what I mentioned about women should not be hesitant, shamed to embrace and love their sexuality. The lack of understanding on how art is taught and created deprived people from learning about the nude figure, its form. Also, it is a mistake to associate nudity exclusively with sexual activity or sexual meaning. Anna Lea Merritt quoted "Art, from the beginning, endeavored to express human emotions and historical facts to be understood by all human souls of all nations, without need of written words. Art uses the gestures of human beings, the atmosphere of the universe to convey thought and emotions and to record events. Without thought and emotions, it has no reason for existence".

Representation of images:
The wood frame represents earth, and the natural approach of the painting.
Red rose: love, passion, and admiration. The rose and leaves are collage images outlined with acrylic paint to reflect on its shape more vibrantly. It expresses new beginnings and hope. It doesn't have thorns
