Abstract
A summary of the resource.
Collie was never seen using hearing aids, but many Deaf people rely on them to hear the world around them. This piece was inspired by Morris Broderson’s “The Sound of Flowers.” Interestingly, the artist, Laurie Rose Monahan picks blue bell flowers to feature in this piece. The figure’s face has a sense of wonder but they are waiting, waiting to hear the sound while simultaneously seeing the “sound” before them, by the way it moves.
