    <dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[This series was inspired by the painting work of Claire Milbrath and her “This Must Be the Place” exhibition, which features gay male characters depicted in everyday scenes of domestic home life. As a queer, non-binary, Deaf artist exploring my feelings about gender in relation to the world around me, I wanted to show queer and transgender individuals in environments where they feel <br />
most comfortable. This is not only a physical <br />
place, but a state of mind that transgender <br />
people often find when we are at home in our bodies. The original title for Milbrath’s series and my own come from the popular song “This Must Be the Place” by the Talking Heads. This is an ongoing project.]]></dcterms:abstract>
