The mask was in the center of the canvas with the abstract weaving of Afrocentric braid on top of the head and banded up. Each side of the canvas shows the abstract face of a person who has their hand up as if he/she is not welcoming the masked person. Right side has its hand signing Deaf. The left side has its hand signing " Black". The masked person has its hands up side by side, trying to find its own identity.
