The Unwavering Legacy of Black Womxn

We Black queens from birth periodt. Beyonce right when she sung we run tha world. We move tha earth upside down and nobody aint knowin it moves. Rosa Parks said hell na and stayed where she wanna sit. Now we sittin in front of tha thrones smiling like queens. Misogynoir may kill us but not our black womanhood. We warrioresses cuz we never stop fightin. We aint tryna fight but we gotta defend ourselves. Yall may say no but we say yes to ourselves cuz we love us and you. We turn folks’ necks to look at us but dey still won’t respect us. Their hatred hurt us but dey will remember our words and actions. Dey may not like us but they will repeat our stories forever. Malcolm X said well: The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman. There a reason why we got tha Black Girl Magic energy.

1st Verse
I got shot down a lot

Pulled down in my misery

Til I started seeing things very differently No lie I been da kid on da block Picked on, lied on, didn’t even get a spot

 Holed up!

All is well wit me

Yea They told me I was wack

Now they begging me

U know karma got em back

When they stole from me

But I refuse to live in lack

Gotta spread the truth

Yea

I held my head high

I Can’t lie

Looked up to God

Man I pray loud

And I’m safe now

Cuz I ain’t lookin for no handouts

Naw grind hard

They laugh behind my back

U gone see it all plan out

Just watch out

Hook

At 4 years old yea they labeled me as deaf
Used to be ashamed of it
Overcame it want the best
Life threw a curveball
Ain’t playing wit no mess
U betta watchout cuz I’m standing tall

Claiming this success
Got em wishing Dey treated me different
Now it’s too late
But all forgiven gotta keep it moving
This point b proven They so clueless by wat I’m doin
I was excluded Hustled hard Now I'm exclusive
They wish they knew me
Now I do it for my culture
Only God got my back
Full time grinder
Venue stay packed
Was a shy girl then
Hearing aids in the trash

So thankful for the lesson
Life changed in a flash Ha!

They ask me can u read my lips I ask em can u read my sign
Ball hard in my new whip
Change takes time trust the process
Yea they ignore me so I’m following my purpose

I don't need you to love me
I don't need you to love
I've got
I've got
I've got my sister
I can feel her now
She may not be here, but she's still mine
I know she still love me
Got my children
I can't hold them now
They may not be here, but they still mine
I hope they know I still love them
Got my house
It still keeps the cold out
Got my chair
When my body can't hold out
Got my hands
Doin' good like they supposed to
Showin' my heart
To the folks that I'm close to
Got my eyes
Though they don't see as far now
They see more 'bout how things
Really are now
I'm gonna take a deep breath
Gonna hold my head up
Gonna put my shoulders back
And look you straight in the eye
I'm gonna flirt with somebody
When they walk by
I'm gonna sing out
Sing out
I believe I have inside of me
Everything that I need to live a bountiful life
And all the love alive in me
I'll stand as tall as the tallest tree
And I'm thankful for every day that I'm given
Both the easy and hard ones I'm livin'
But most of all
I'm thankful for loving who I really am
I'm beautiful
Yes, I'm beautiful
And I'm here
